John Weber was born on April 10, 1967, in Alexandria, Virginia. John attended Wake Forest University and graduated in 1989. Following college, John graduated from T.C. Williams School of Law at the University of Richmond in 1992. While in law school, John was a member of the Moot Court Board and competed in oral argument competitions. After graduation, John began practicing in Danville, Virginia and moved to Roanoke in 1993. Since beginning his practice, John has been an active litigator in state and federal court, handling cases in every level of the Virginia Court system from the General District Court to the Supreme Court of Virginia. John is an active member of the Virginia State Bar and is authorized to practice in all state Courts and federal courts in Southwest Virginia.
John handles personal injury claims arising out of automobile, motorcycle and tractor trailer accidents throughout southwest Virginia and has helped clients get back on their feet financially and emotionally following injuries arising out of an accident. For the first eleven years of John's practice, he worked with several large insurance defense firms defending personal injury cases and has carried forward his knowledge and experience to assist personal injury clients obtain full and fair recoveries in their cases. John's insurance defense background helps him have a full and complete understanding of the insurance companies expectations, arguments and negotiation strategies and allows him to provide better representation for his personal injury clients.
John also handles serious criminal cases in state and federal court involving possession and/or distribution of drugs, felony conspiracy charges, gun charges and assault charges. John has successfully defended clients in federal and state court and will fight to make sure that legal issues like admissibility of evidence, search and seizure issues, and confidential source issues are fully discovered and litigated. John also handles state and federal criminal appeals for clients who have been convicted and desire to appeal their case in state court or federal court.
John is an adjunct professor of law at Liberty University School of Law in Lynchburg, Virginia. He teaches students from a practice oriented point of view and incorporates cases and examples to highlight points of law. John is also a regular lecturer for NBI Seminars and teaches Virginia CLE's to other lawyers and paralegals.
John will help ensure that your rights are fully protected and if necessary, schedule bond hearings promptly to fight for your constitutional right to have a bond consideration. John continues to serve clients as both a privately hired lawyer and a court-appointed lawyer for indigent clients as needs dictate. John believes that although every client has the right to hire the lawyer of their choosing, it is also important that excellent lawyers commit to serving the community as court appointed lawyers willing to accept cases for indigent clients.
John lives with his wife of 16 years and his two children in Roanoke. He is active in the community and serves as chairman of Answering the Call, a non-profit organization dedicated to expanding the gospel in regions of the world within the 10/40 window. He enjoys fishing, swimming, hiking, camping, music and spending time with his family. He travels extensively with Answering the Call to Central America and Asia. John is a licensed instrument rated private pilot and enjoys riding motorcycles.
