Stuart is a native of Virginia, having grown up in Danville. He graduated from George Washington High School where he played shortstop on the baseball team.  Upon graduation, Stuart attended the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, VA, where he majored in History.  In the fall of 1997 Stuart moved to Memphis, TN, to attend law school at the Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law, University of Memphis. 

In the summer of 2000 Stuart graduated from law school and moved to his hometown to begin his practice.  After gaining valuable experience in a civil defense practice in Danville, Stuart moved to Roanoke to become an Assistant Commonwealth Attorney in the City of Roanoke where he prosecuted cases in General District Court, Juvenile and Domestic Relations District Court and Circuit Court.  On January 2, 2003, he and John Weber III created Weber Pearson, PC.  Since then Stuart has narrowed his practice to represent individuals charged with crimes and those involved in serious automobile accidents.

Stuart has tried criminal cases and personal injury cases in all levels of trial courts in Virginia.  His practice takes him to all jurisdictions West of Richmond and South of Northern Virginia.  Having prosecuted most of the cases he now defends, Stuart has a unique insight into the practice of criminal law.  Having worked for insurance companies and with adjusters during the early years of his practice, Stuart is now well suited to handle personal injury cases against those companies and adjusters. 

In 1998 Stuart married his high school sweetheart, Audrey.  They have three children together, all girls. Along with his family, he attends Church of the Holy Spirit in Roanoke, VA, where he has served on the Vestry.  Stuart's primary hobby is tinkering on his 1965 Mustang.  He is a member of the Virginia State Bar, the Roanoke Bar Association and the Virginia Trial Lawyers Association.  Stuart has been named a Rising Star in Super Lawyer magazine and has been peer rated in Martindale Hubbell.
